What You Can Expect
The first time I see you we will talk things over, I'll observe you moving, and begin to introduce new possibilities to your nervous system, giving you a taste of the work.
The next session I will look at the results you’ve experienced from the first session and we will work more deeply. I will also give you specific homework to do from time to time during your day so you can bring the changes you are experiencing into your life.
By the end of the third session we will have addressed your need or will know we are on the way to doing so. I will give you my analysis of the patterns that are operating and how long it will take to address them. If you or I know that it's not working, I will make recommendations for what might serve you better.
Some people come to me with a specific need and when they’ve discovered how to meet it they go on about their lives. Others discover a value in continuing to learn more about themselves through movement and awareness and continue working with me over a period of time.
At each stage, you will experience a shift in your experience that can include a greater sense of well being, a letting go of restriction, constraint, and pain, and improvement in how you move through your life. Through this process you learn to make small changes that are cumulative and become long lasting.
You can expect to notice changes relatively quickly, within 3 or 4 sessions. Learning to integrate these changes fully into your life may take longer. How long a person engages in these lessons depends upon their intention and what underlies it.
